150 MW (75MW Net) Project Owner Padoma Wind Power & BP Alternative Energy Turbines Vestas In February 2008, Padoma entered into a 50-50 joint venture with BP Alternative Energy North America Inc. to build the Sherbino Wind Energy Project in Pecos County, Texas. The 150 MW project, uses 50 Vestas V90 (3 MW) wind turbine generators. It is the largest installation of Vestas V90 turbines in the United States. Padoma completed construction of the project in October 2008 and BP Alternative Energy operates Sherbino. The farm generates enough electricity to power 120,000 homes when at peak capacity. |
