Gary S. Dodak, Chief Operating Officer

Gary Dodak is a co-founder and a principal of Padoma Wind Power, LLC, a wind energy consulting and development company established in July 2001. Mr. Dodak serves as Padoma's Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to the establishment of Padoma, Gary Dodak held the position of Chief Operating Officer and was a member of the Board of Directors for SeaWest Windpower, Inc., at the time one of the world's leading developers and operators of wind energy projects. As the COO of Padoma (as prior to that of SeaWest) he has been responsible for the integration of all technical processes related to the development and construction of more than 40 utility-scale, wind-energy power plants. These responsibilities include the evaluation and procurement of turbine technologies and system control and data acquisition systems, and the management and oversight of all construction activities. Additionally, over the past several years, Mr. Dodak has played a significant role in the technical and commercial negotiations regarding the placement of project debt and equity.

Mr. Dodak's responsibilities also included the oversight of the operation and maintenance of all SeaWest-operated wind projects in the United States, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Representing more than 500 megawatts of installed capacity, these wind projects include over 3,000 wind turbines, comprised of turbines from eleven different manufacturers and five model variations.

Mr. Dodak has overseen Padoma's (and prior to that SeaWest's) research and development program since 1988. During this tenure, he initiated the process of identifying and accumulating a wide variety of technical resources and knowledge related to the retrofit, maintenance, and operations of numerous wind turbine technologies. Mr. Dodak has participated in several federally funded R&D programs in cooperation with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, including the design, test, and implementation of enhanced airfoil technology. This knowledge base has proven to be extremely useful in the development of new, utility grade large scale state-of-the-art projects.

In 1985, Mr. Dodak was the Project Manager for the construction of a 10-megawatt project consisting of 128 wind turbines. He was then retained to start up a service organization on behalf of Windmatic, a Danish wind turbine manufacturer. This organization provided full service and operations for 125 turbines. SeaWest recruited Mr. Dodak in 1987 to start-up SeaWest Services, Inc. Beginning with 451 turbines and 25 employees, at the time of Mr. Dodak's departure, the SeaWest Services group provided services for almost 3000 turbines and had over 150 employees. Mr. Dodak was awarded the American Wind Energy Association's Wind Smith of the Year award for 1992/1993.

With more than twenty years of operational management experience in the wind industry, combined with his extensive background in electrical and mechanical engineering, Mr. Dodak has become one of the most knowledgeable and diversified professionals in the wind industry with a technical integration expertise that remains unrivalled.
