Edison Mission Group Adds Major Wind Project To Its Renewable Portfolio



ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA - September. 20 2005 - Edison International (NYSE:EIX) today announced that Edison Mission Group Inc. (EMG), through one of its project subsidiaries, has entered into an agreement to acquire a 120-megawatt* (MW) wind project in eastern New Mexico from Padoma Windpower, LLC., a leading California-based, wind generation developer. The electricity produced by the San Juan Mesa Wind Energy Project, being constructed by Mitsubishi and Padoma, will be sold to Southwestern Public Service, a subsidiary of Xcel Energy, under a 20-year power purchase agreement.
