JAN C. PAULIN
Senior Vice President, NRG and
President, Padoma Wind Power
Mr. Paulin is Senior Vice President of NRG Energy and concurrently serves as President and CEO of Padoma Wind Power, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of NRG specializing in the development and construction management of wind power projects. Mr. Paulin was also a co-founder of Padoma, which was founded in July 2001 and acquired by NRG in July 2006. He manages Padoma's global development efforts and provides the overall strategic direction of the Company. Under Mr. Paulin's leadership, and prior to the NRG acquisition, the Company had successfully completed and financed five projects totaling approximately 500 MW, a track record which brings Padoma to the forefront of the industry. Mr. Paulin has nearly 20 years of experience in the financing and legal structuring of commercial utility-scale wind power projects. He previously served as President and CEO of SeaWest WindPower, LLC (now AES Wind Generation, Inc.). Prior to his experience in the wind energy industry, he was a First Vice President and General Counsel of a Danish Bank’s New York Branch following a career as partner in a Danish law firm, where he focused on international transactional law and deal structuring. He received a LL.M in International Comparative Law from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and completed additional studies in U.S. and International Law at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He obtained his J.D. .degree from Aarhus University, School of Law, in Denmark. |
