Padoma Wind Power, LLC is a wind energy development company that utilizes a broad scope of capabilities to take a project from inception to commercial operation.

Prior to and since its formation in July 2001, the executives of Padoma have led the development, financing, construction and operation of more than 40 wind farms in the United States and Europe, representing more than 1,300 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity.

Padoma's visionary approach and 100-percent success rate prompted Wind Power Monthly to recognize Padoma as a Leading Wind Project Developer.

In July 2006, Padoma was acquired by NRG Energy, Inc., as part of its forward-looking “econrg” program—an ongoing and extensive environmental business effort targeted at reducing NRG’s environmental footprint.

Padoma will continue to focus its efforts on developing, building, owning and operating wind projects located in NRG’s core regions. Padoma currently has several wind projects under active development, in addition to a pipeline of wind projects under development as joint ventures with third parties. These projects are in several states, including California and Texas, and are expected to bring a minimum of 1,000 MW of new wind-based generation to market by 2015.
