BERNIE HOLST Bernie Holst joined Padoma in August 2006, bringing with him more than 25 years of experience in wind turbine service and operations, construction, project financing, and project management and administration. His vast expertise includes the development wind turbine and wind farm test procedures related to the monitoring of project performance and wind turbine warranty obligations. At Padoma, Mr. Holst oversees turbine evaluation, selection and procurement, the interface between construction and operations, and wind farm operations. Before joining Padoma, as President Mr. Holst established and managed Garrad Hassan America, the San Diego, California-based US division of one of the world’s industry leading wind energy consultancy companies. In addition to day-to-day operations, Mr. Holst performed commercial and technical due diligence for banks and equity investors, assessed ongoing project operations and maintenance activities, managed wind resource assessment activities in the United States, and oversaw GH SCADA system development in the US. Mr. Holst has also worked with Battelle Northwest Labs, and from 1992-2002 was Vice President, Operations of SeaWest Windpower (now AES Wind Generation, Inc.) working both in the UK head office and the San Diego headquarters. He began his career in the wind industry in 1981 as a technical specialist with the Hawaii Natural Energy Institute. |
