The company will continue to focus its efforts on markets having some or all of the following characteristics:
- Renewable Portfolio Standards and/or other state-level initiatives supporting the installation of renewable energy;
- High dependence on natural gas or fuel oil fired generation, with associated long-term fuel price volatility;
- Higher than average electricity rates; or
- Higher than average wind resources.
Within these markets, the company secures new business by way of:
- Strategic Partnerships with Local Wind Energy Companies - Padoma has provided and is continuing to provide its wind farm development expertise to several developers, who had insufficient or limited experience with the technical integration and financial closing of utility scale wind power projects, thereby ensuring the successful completion of the projects.
- Direct Sales Efforts - Padoma has developed long-term relationships with targeted utilities, municipalities, and other energy companies with whom it directly contracts for turnkey project sales and long-term power purchase agreements.
- Indirect Sales Efforts - Padoma responds to solicitations issued by utilities and other entities interested in purchasing:
- turnkey wind projects;
- wind energy under long-term contract; and/or
- wind energy consulting services.
